Hi everyone. I´m using this email because this other one doesn´t work very well. I hope everything is going good at home. It feels like it is so far away. Ok I only have ten minutes so here it goes
Thursday we had kind of a P-day since my comp didn´t really get one. But we still worked. That night he took me to visist some families. I don´t know the names yet but this one the mom is a member but the dad isn´t but he is very nice and welcomes us in/tells us to come over. It was funny the little girls who are 2 and 5 liked playing with me and were trying to speak to me. After a while the mom was like you need to speak very clearly and slow. Then the girl said is he a baby haha. It was fun she brought out a book and she would show me the picture and say what it was. Anyways that was fun.
Friday
We had a lunch appointment with a lady who had just been baptized a couple weeks ago. She has two little boys and one girl, the girl is like 9 so we are working with her to get her baptized. She had us make like this little noddle things, she didn´t know how to make them so it was sort of an experiement. They turned out alright. The kids really enjoyed playing with me, as all kids do haha, it took alot longer than we wanted to. Then we had a district/zone meeting that we took a taxi to. it was fun to meet all the missionaries in our zone. That night we went over to the old bishop´s house who is the brother in law of the lady we had lunch with. They also had kids that kept me busy while my comp talked with him about what is going on between the missionaries and the members. He told us that the missionaries before us weren´t doing very good things so the members lost trust in us. So we have to try to build that back up. We have so so so so so much work! They only have a %20 attendance rate here.
Sat
We went and visited a less active family in the morning then went to a lady´s house that use to work at the Lindon Care and Training center. It was fun to talk with her. O by the Way EVERYONE Loves the book Katie gave me of the pictures. After that we had lunch at one of the members of the Stake Pres. We had chicken and rise which was very good. Then we had a Stake Priesthood Meeting and one of the Seventy came to it, Elder Sivic. He chastized the leaders alot because there were a lot of the bishops and leaders that didn´t come. Then we came back and knocked doors, we do that alot.
Sun
We had stake conference, they had a meeting before the general one for new members and investigators. We took this boy named Jose who wants to get baptized. Then we had the general meeting and I met alot of the members. Then we came home. THE CIESTA IS SO SO SO DUMB!!! We can´t sleep and everyone else in the town is asleep so we walk around knocking doors getting yelled at for waking them up and try to talk to the one or two people outside. For dinner we went to a family´s house who just had 2 boys and 2 girls get baptized. One of the girls who is 19 is falling away already cause her boyfriend isn´t a very good influence on her. We need to work with her. We ate there did a few contacts on the way home and then went to sleep.
Sorry i don´t have more time im already over, PS Dear Elder still works so send me some of those to the mission home (all mail goes through there then gets sent to the district meetings)
Anyways I love everyone thanks for your letters, o mom yes we walk most places unless its to a meeting, a district, zone, stake, or mission meeting. I miss you all alot
Love
Elder Veenker
